In order to keep the house warm in winter, it is necessary to choose all the components of the heating system used correctly, including the types, size, and number of radiators. However, even properly selected heating equipment will not be able to function correctly without the use of suitable parts.

Selection rule

First of all, it is recommended to determine the purpose of the installed components:

  1. Regulation of the heating of the working fluid, as well as the uniformity of its placement along the contour.
  2. Installing batteries.
  3. Ensuring the function of the pipeline.

Such components can have different configurations and be made of metal or polypropylene. In order for the components to be combined with the rest of the heating system as much as possible, certain conditions must be met:

After installation of components, the system's design data and its functionality should not be changed.

It is necessary to ensure that its calculated data is taken into account.

The quality of the parts used must be as high as possible.

When planning to purchase the necessary elements for mounting the contour, it is recommended to study the technical documents of the devices or read the existing requirements on the manufacturer's website. And only after that, you can start selecting components, taking into account their purpose and design.

Bracing

A prerequisite for the correct installation of heat exchangers is the use of special fasteners-brackets, which are often included in the package of heating batteries. According to the installation method, these elements are classified as follows:

  1. Anchor;
  2. Whip;
  3. Corner brackets.

In the process of fixing most radiators, special gaskets are used, as well as heat-reflecting screens that separate them from the wall. Such elements are made of foil or NPE LF, so their use helps to increase the heat transfer of the heat exchanger.

To prevent heat loss, it is recommended to put another layer of rolled PSB under the foil.

Stop valve

The key value in the device of a contour for heating of rooms has shut-off valves - cranes or latches which limit heat supply to the set sites.

For example, ball valves are necessary for rapid water shut-off. The advantage of such valves is the maximum speed of disconnecting the water supply, as well as the equipment with a needle tap, which allows smooth adjustment of the liquid flow.

Installation of shut-off components for the radiator circuit requires compliance with the connection scheme, as well as taking into account a number of parameters:

  1. Their flow characteristics must correspond to the same parameter of the pipe on which they will be installed.
  2. They must be installed at the outlet of the boiler, on a bypass valve with mandatory equipment with a circulation pump.
  3. Valves, and especially cranes, should be as reliable as possible and made of steel.

Manual taps on aluminum and bimetallic heat exchangers are used mainly for vertical connection, and are attached at the bottom or at the top. Such elements can perform the function of temperature control. So, if you close the topmost valve, the heat will no longer flow into the radiator cavity, as a result, the heated room will become cool. By closing the lower valve, you can block all heating. Close both valves and disconnect the convector.

The most important operation in the maintenance of the circuit is the binding of radiators. Therefore, before cold weather, it is highly recommended to check the operability of shut-off pipeline equipment.

Control pipe fittings

The thermostat is the main device that regulates the heat supply to the heat exchanger, combining the function of shut-off pipeline equipment with temperature monitoring.

Installing a thermostat at the entrance to the convector and adjusting the temperature value on the head will increase or decrease the water supply to the heat exchanger.

With a certain degree of heating, the sensitive element of the coolant can send a command to redirect it to the bypass valve or battery. When choosing a thermostat, it is extremely important to pay attention to its following characteristics:

  1. The operating range of the device, and of course the adjustment error.
  2. The ability to work in auto mode, while connecting the servo.
  3. Ability to connect to the monitoring system.
  4. The absolute match of its diameter, with the pipe on the battery.

The use of auto-regulation will allow you to maintain the set temperature with an accuracy of up to a degree, without user intervention. In addition to creating comfort, auto control allows you to double the efficiency of the equipment, as well as minimize heating costs.

The exclusion of air-tightness of the heating system is an important step in regulating its operation. To combat this problem, a Mayevsky tap is used: by pressing the drain valve of this device, you can release the air present in the circuit, without any effort.

Also, the modern market offers many innovations that are designed to computerize temperature control. Such thermal valves can be programmed not only for temperature parameters, but also to produce heating at the required time of day.

Many models can be controlled remotely, for this they are connected to a special computer that controls the life support of the house. Such devices are characterized by the highest functionality and efficiency.

Security

To increase safety, the system is equipped with elements that provide air outlet, air outlet, as well as control over the system parameters.

So, to remove the steam formed during overheating from the pipes, an air vent is used. Its use allows you to avoid the formation of air jams in the circuit. In isolated systems with forced circulation, it is necessary to install a release valve that relieves the increased pressure caused by the expansion of the heated coolant. Otherwise, the contour elements will work with an over-dimensional load, which will cause them to break.

To monitor the pressure in the system, it is recommended to use a pressure gauge, which allows you to determine the status of the coolant. For the selection of such components should be taken into account:

  1. The diameter of the pipe they will be installed in.
  2. Whether they are able to create the maximum pressure to activate the air vent and drain valve.
  3. Availability of special adapters for connecting elements.

To ensure the maximum possible safety of the system, it should be equipped with an expansion tank with a membrane that compensates for minor deviations in parameters.
